Bret Grinslade is the GPM for Website and Media Analytics in Microsoft's Ad and Commerce Platform R&D group. Bret is focused on helping business create the maximum value for their customers via the web. This means the right content, the right ads, and right experiences for users – maximizing ROI for advertisers and creating the best yield for publishers. Currently, Bret is working on how AJAX and Silverlight Rich Internet Applications (RIAs), video and social networks can be effectively measured and analyzed for trends. His team is focused on audience intelligence, targeting, and web analytics.

Before working in online services, Bret was a program manager on the .NET Framework, deployment and WiX, and Windows – shipping the .NET Framework 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5, Visual Studio 2005 and 2008, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000. Prior to joining Microsoft in 1996, Bret was the development manager at a document management startup. Bret has a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Washington.
